For general education, vocational education and higher education institutions the HITSA offers two environments: Moodle and VIKO.
Moodle is one of the most widely used learning management systems in Estonia that supports community-based learning over the Internet and is suitable both for the creation of online courses and for supporting classroom teaching. The HITSA's Moodle can be accessed at http://moodle.hitsa.ee/.
VIKO is a virtual learning environment developed by the Education Technology Centre at Tallinn University, which has been created bearing the needs of Estonian general education schools in mind. The environment allows teachers to make their teaching materials and information on studies and timetables for students available online and it also provides interaction possibilities in the form of forums. VIKO is accessible at www.eenet.ee/EENet/viko.html
